INDERECT SPEECH

(Kalimat Tak Langsung) ialah kalimat yang diucapkan untuk melaporkan kata-katansi pembicara kepada orang lain. Jadi, Indirect Speech (Reported Speech) digunakan bila kita ingin melaporkan kata-kata seseorang kepada orang lain secara tak langsung.

Soal :

1.   Jim said, “ I am sleepy that day ”

Jwb : Jim said that he was sleepy that day.

2.   Sam said, “I will cancel my dorm contract at the end of this semester ”.

Jwb : Sam said that he will cancel his dorm contract at the    end of that semester.
